Cantinho de Avillez - our first lunch in Chiado
Solar dos Presuntos - next lunch when I was feeling not so well. Also great for seafood.
Tasca da Esquina - similar to Cantinho de Avillez near Basilica da Estrela. Near Campo de Ourique where there is a newly done market with cafes etc.
A Travessa - in Lapa in converted convent. Outside would be nice dep on how hot it is. They also have a resto in historic part of town in Alfama.
Café Sao Bento - best for late night dinner as it gets popular from 11 pm. But still great for normal mealtimes. Blue door near Parliament, best steak in town.
Seafood:
Ramiro - v popular but you can book before 8 pm
Sea Me - in Chiado area
Loads of others esp in Cascais area
Bars:
Pavilhao Chines - where we met Filipe Serzedelo with all the toys
Pensao Amore - where we went with my sister in law and Pedro in Caisss do Sodre. Across from it is LUX boutique hotel.
And of course, Bairro Alto area which will be much livelier than in Feb!
Clubs:
Lux - near Santa Apollonia train station, next to Bica do Sapato resto. Both co-owned by John Malkovich. Resto is nice, upscale but I prefer the ones above.
Silk - at least for the view
Urban Beach - on the river
Need more?
Btw, if you haven't booked a hotel, can check boutique hotel Fontana Park. Recently re-branded Doubletree but still nice. V close friend is GM. It is in Saldanha area so you would need a cab to get to the river and more touristy area. Actually, also walkable in London terms, people just don't walk there!
